Women's Soccer Beat Hornets in First Home Win of the Season
OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Brescia University women’s soccer team moved to 3-2 on the season following their first home win over Harris-Stowe Wednesday night.

OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Brescia University women's soccer team moved to 3-2 on the season following their first home win over Harris-Stowe Wednesday night.
In this 3-2 victory over the Hornets, the Bearcats started out slow in the first half as HSSU netted the first goal in the seventh minute of the match. Evangalene Farfan buried the equalizer in the 10th minute on a pass into the box by Geneva Hann. A foul by the Bearcats would lead to a free kick for the Hornets, where they played the ball into the box and shot for their second goal of the night to take the lead. Before the half, Allana Colen Porto tied the match for the second time as she found the back of the net for her second goal of the season. The final goal of the night came off the foot of Lillian Garcia as Porto found her in stride past the defenders.
The Bearcats improve their record to 3-2 on the year as they look to host the Eutectics of UHSP this coming Saturday, Sep. 13, at 2pm.
