All good things must come to end and that's exactly what happened to the winning streak for the Bearcats this Thursday. Facing a tough Golden Bear team at the top of the conference did not go without effort. The first goal of the match went to Tech in the 7th minute of the match. The Golden Bears extended their lead in the 33rd minute on a pass played through two Bearcat defenders for a one-on-one shot with the goalie. The Bearcats took just five shots in the first half going into the break.
Tech would start off exactly how they did in the first half with a goal in 69th minute to give them the 3-0 lead. The Bearcats took their chances as they doubled their shot count in the second half, and it finally paid off. Kaja Zupanic found the back of the net in the 87th minute for the Bearcats only goal of the evening.
As Tech moves ahead of the Bearcats in the standings, BU takes on IU East (3-1; 6-4-2) Saturday, Oct. 11 on the road at 1pm.
