Morris' 19 Points Leads Way for Lady Cats

Senior, Cassidy Morris, established herself early in the first quarter of her big night as she accounted for nine of the 16 BU points with three rebounds. Shooting just 38% from the field, the Lady Cats made up for it in the second quarter going 6-10 on the floor and 5-7 at the charity stripe. BU went away from the long-range game after going 0-5 in the first quarter as they made up for it by driving to the basket. Brescia earned 10 of their 33 points from the free throw line as they took a 33-30 lead over Haskell going into the break.
Sophomore, Jenna Krampe, came out firing on all cylinder racking up seven points in the third quarter including a three-pointer, which she isn't known for. Haskell kept a tight ship in the third outscoring the Bearcats 21-20 on 60% shooting. Late fouls by Haskell allowed 12 free throw attempts by BU as the Bearcats put up 26 points in the fourth quarter.
Four Bearcats were in double digit points: Cassidy Morris (19), Jenna Krampe (15), Brooklyn Stewart (11), and Caroline Lucas (10). Morris' 19 points is her season high as she adds six boards on 60% shooting. Jenna Kramps put up 13 points in the second half to add to her total of 15 points while grabbing six boards with four assists.
The Lady Cats will stay in Kansas for one more game as they take on Mission Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 3pm.
