Women's Soccer Routed by Shawnee to End Season
PORTSMOUTH, OH – The Brescia University women’s soccer team fell to Shawnee State Saturday evening, 2-1. The loss prevented the Lady Bearcats from making it as the 8th seed in the RSC Tournament. BU finished the season with an overall record of 3-10-2 and an RSC record 2-6-2.

PORTSMOUTH, OH – The Brescia University women's soccer team fell to Shawnee State Saturday evening, 2-1. The loss prevented the Lady Bearcats from making it as the 8th seed in the RSC Tournament. BU finished the season with an overall record of 3-10-2 and an RSC record 2-6-2.
In a win-or-go-home game, the Bearcats would net their first goal in the 32nd minute off the foot of Maci Uffelman on a pass from Victoria Poon to give BU the one-goal advantage. The Lady Bearcats tried to hold off the Bears in the second half, but not before Shawnee tied the match at one apiece in the 47th minute. The Bearcats, looking for the tie, would allow a pass through the middle of the field where Shawnee could get close enough to score their second goal in the contest. BU could not equalize as they dropped the match, 2-1, to end their season.
Maci Uffelman had the only goal for the Bearcats as Victoria Poon grabs the assist.
