Women's Cross Country 2020 Schedule Release
Brescia University cross country coach Luke Stoffel has announced the program's schedule for the 2020 season, which consists of seven total meets and one home contest.
The Bearcats will start its season on September 11th at the IWU Twilight Classic at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. "I am excited for the season to start. The women's team is still pretty young, but has a lot of room to grow and has the potential to have a very successful season," said Stoffel.
The next meet on the schedule is the IU Run With The Wolves Invite at Indiana University East in Richmond, Indiana, which will be the team's first opportunity to see the conference championship course. After a week off, the Bearcats will compete at the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Kentucky -- a national championship caliber course.
On October 10th, Brescia will host its home competition, the Fast Cats Classic, at Yellow Creek Park.
Next, the Bearcats will race at the Murray State Racer Open at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky on October 16th. Brescia concludes its regular season competition on October 24th at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Brescia will travel back to IU East on November 7th to race in the River States Conference Championship. The NAIA National Championship is on November 20th in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Dates to Remember:
- The Bearcats begin the 2020 season on September 11th at Indiana Wesleyan University.
- The first look at the RSC championship course is on September 19th at Indiana University East.
- Brescia's home meet is on October 3rd at Yellow Creek Park.
- The River States Conference Championship meet is on November 7th at Indiana University East.
- Any Bearcats who qualify for Nationals will race in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on November 20th.
