Lady Bearcats Finish Regular Season at Rose-Hulman Twilight
The Lady Bearcats traveled to Terre Haute, Indiana to compete in the Rose-Hulman Twilight Invitational. Host Rose-Hulman walked away with an easy victory, winning by over 40 points. The Lady Bearcats finished 10th with 3 points, narrowly missing 9th by only 2 points. Principia took the 9th place position with 5 points.
Alicia Salazar scored the points for the Lady Bearcats finishing 6th in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 19.46. Salazar also competed in the open 400 and the long jump. Makenzie Jackson ran the 1500-meters and finished 21st with a 7:03.42.
"I am happy with how these two competed tonight. Salazar struggled through being sick earlier in the week and that affected her performances tonight. I think they are both in a good position to have good showings at the conference meet this upcoming weekend", said Coach Stoffel.
The Lady Bearcats travel to Pittsburgh, PA to compete in the River States Conference Championships. The meet is April 29th with the first event starting at 9:30am.
