Lady Bearcats Compete at DePauw Invitational
The women's track and field team traveled to Greencastle, Indiana to compete in the DePauw University Invitational. The Lady Bearcats scored 6 points, which put them on the board in 7th place. Illinois Wesleyan took the team title with 196.5 points.
Alicia Salazar scored for the Lady Bearcats putting them on the board for the first time this season. Salazar did so off a season best 100-meter hurdle time of 18.28, which put her in 4th place. Salazar also ran the 200-meter dash in 32.84, placing 18th.
"Alicia's time in the 100-meter hurdles is coming down each week. We still have work to do, but it is great seeing her time drop each week. I am happy with how she is competing and adjusting to collegiate track and field", said Coach Stoffel.
The Lady Bearcats are off from competition this weekend and will resume April 21st as they travel to Rose-Hulman. The invitational is scheduled to begin at 3:30pm.
