Lady Bearcats Compete at Hanover Invitational
The Lady Bearcats traveled to Hanover, Indiana to compete in the Hanover Invitational. Makenzie Jackson and Alicia Salazar where again the only competing Lady Bearcats. Both competed in the same events as last week and maintained where they were at the competition a week ago. Makenzie ran the 1500-meter race in 6:40 and finished 37th place. Alicia competed in the 100-meter hurdles and the 200-meter dash. She finished the hurdles in 18.72 for a 15th place finish and the 200 in 31.61 for a 39th place finish.
"I am happy with how today went for the ladies. Although times did not improve from last week, they didn't really get worse either. It is hard to come out each week and see significant time drops. For them to come out and be where they were a week ago in worse conditions; I'm happy with that. If conditions are better this upcoming weekend, I would look for each of them to see improvements in their events", said Coach Stoffel.
The Lady Bearcats head to Greencastle, Indiana April 8th to compete in the DePauw Outdoor Invitational. The start time for the invitational is scheduled for noon.
