Lady Bearcats compete at Transylvania Invite
The Lady Bearcats traveled to Lexington, Ky to compete in the Transylvania Invitational. Marian finished 1st in the team competition with a score of 145. The Lady Bearcats only had two competing and neither were able to get on the scoreboard, despite having good performances. Alicia Salazar competed in the 100-meter hurdles and the 200-meter dash. Her time was 18.67 in the hurdles and she clocked a 31.39 in the open 200. The other competitor for the Lady Bearcats was Makenzie Jackson. Jackson ran the 1500-meter race in a time of 6:38.
"The ladies competed well today. Each of them came out and gave it their best effort for the day. We have some work to do in the coming weeks to prepare for the conference meet", said Coach Stoffel.
The Lady Bearcats head to Hanover College April, 1st to compete in the Hanover Invitational. The meet is scheduled to start at 10:00am.
