Lady Bearcats compete at Wash U event
The women's track team began their 2014 outdoor track campaign in St. Louis, MO this weekend. The meet, hosted by Washington University, is one of the largest track meets in the United States.
The competition began Friday night with the Distance Carnival, which consisted of multiple heats of the 5,000m and 10,000m. In the women's 5,000m run Courtney Naas (FR) set a freshman record with the time of 19:51, placing her 2nd in Brescia history. She was followed by Embra Hawkins (JR) at 19:52. Jasmine Pulliam (SR) also competed and finished the race in 20:24.
The women's 10,000m run had Olivia Warren (JR) running a time of 41:19, her 2nd fastest time.
The team will resume competition this weekend as they travel to Louisville, KY for the Bellarmine Invitational.
