Lady Bearcats Falls to USI

The Bearcats fell to University of Southern Indiana 9-0 on Saturday, February 3rd. Both teams started off the day with double matches, as Naruemon Wiriyachon and Divinity Price lost to Lauren Hambrock and Kelsey Shipman 1-8. Toni Keeling and Morgan Harmon were defeated 1-8 by Lauryn Thompson and Jenny Mizicar in number two doubles. Unfortunately, number three doubles had to be forfeited and was given to University of Southern Indiana.

With a 3-0 deficit from doubles and 5 and 6 singles being forfeited, the Bearcats faced a 5-0 hole going into the singles matches. Although Divinity Price, Naruemon Wiriyachon, Morgan Harmon, and Toni Keeling lost their singles matches, they played well; this was the first match of the season and a good test for them. University of Southern Indiana is a strong opponent that pushed the Lady Bearcats hard to get better and helped them prepare for the season. The Lady Bearcats' next match is scheduled for February 10th at Centre Court tennis Facility at 10 am.
