Women's Tennis Loses Season Opener
OWENSBORO, Ky. – Brescia University Women's Tennis team came up short against Kentucky Wesleyan College in its season opener over the weekend. Brescia picked up a pair of victories on the day, one in doubles and the other in singles, falling to KWC 7-2.
"This was our first match this year and definitely a good learning experience for the girls. They had tough matches and put a great effort. Freshman Divinity Price had a great start by defeating her opponent both in doubles and singles. Senior Naruemon Wiriyachon won her doubles match and was very close in her singles match; however, she fell short. Both freshmen Toni Keeling and Morgan Harmon fought hard, but unfortunately were unable to win their matches. We have a very young team and a lot to learn, we should focus on one match at a time to get better," said Head Coach Olga Chernova.
