Three Bearcats Named To KIAC All-Conference Team

Brescia University freshman Danielle du Plooy (FR/Cape Town, South Africa) was named the KIAC Women's Tennis Newcomer of the Year. In addition to being named Newcomer of the Year, the Capetown, South African native was named to the KIAC All-Conference Team. Du Plooy finished coference play undefeated at #1 doubles (5-0) and 3-1 at #1 singles.

Joining du Plooy as all-conference selections were Alejandra Matiz (SR/Bogota', Columbia), for the fourth straight year and junior Dakota Durrett (JR/Paducah,KY). Durrett went 3-1 in KIAC singles play at the #2 and #3 postions and 4-1 in doubles play.The Bearcats finished the regular season 6-4 overall and were the #2 seed in the KIAC Tournament where they fell to Ashford in the semifinals.
