Women's Golf Takes 5th At KWC
This weekend the Brescia University Golf Teams were at odds with their own home course as they competed in the KWC Spring Invitational. Both teams took on the Pearl Club at the Summit in conditions fit for a major championship with the Ladies finished 5 out of 7 teams.
The Lady Bearcats were lead by junior Brooklyn Spicer as she carved out a fantastic 10th place finish after rounds of 81/86 in the NCAA dominated field. Meredith Mayes continued solid play with a 19th place finish overall with scores of 85/91. Emily Lyons 87/94, Laurel Hotchkiss 101/103, and Paige Pollock 107/100 rounded out the Bearcat fivesome this weekend.
Coach Cox is quoted " Big thank you to Jerry Mayes for filling in and helping out this weekend. Having three teams there and him taking care of one was a huge help". "The girls fought hard and came out on the other side better for the experience. They should be proud of how they played but where they finished the Team Leaderboard". "For Brooklyn to finish 10th is a big accomplishment, that positive momentum will do nothing but help her as we get closer to the Conference Championship in a few weeks".
