Lady Bearcat Golf is Back in Action

Owensboro, KY---The Brescia University Women's Golf Team was in action for the first event of this Spring campaign as they teed it up in the Union College Spring Invitational at Woodson Bend Golf Club in Somerset KY. The ladies were led by Junior Brooklyn Spicer as the team posted scores of 371/366 on the tricky Woodson Bend layout. Being the first event of the spring with limited practice time and playing the girls struggled as the demanding layout won this battle vs the Bearcats.

Coach Cox is quoted" They had a tough time making adjustments to the hilly, curvy layout of Woodson Bend. Demanding greens required a deft touch that at times as we displayed quite well and at times we were just rusty and could not make the adjustments needed ." " We took a step back this week as a team, but we will have to make some adjustments mentally as well to improve and play better going forward". The ladies will have to regroup quickly, dust ourselves off and get back into the swing of things as the Lady Bearcats travel this weekend to the Alice Lloyd Spring Invitational held at Battlefield Golf Club.
