Lady Bearcats Win Country Oaks Tournament
The Lady Bearcats headed to Washington, Indiana to compete in the Country Oaks Tournament, hosted by Oakland City University. The Lady Bearcats came to play, winning the tournament with a 28-stroke advantage over runner-up Augustana. The Lady Bearcats 2-day tournament total was 710 and Augusanta finished at 738. Host Oakland City University rounded out the competition in 3rd with a team total score of 812.
Nicole Burks, who won the overall tournament title with a low score of 164, led the Lady Bearcats. She bested the nearest competitor by 10 strokes. This is the 3rd straight year in a row that Burks has been the overall winner in the tournament. Finishers for the Lady Bearcats:

"Nicole Burks was the overall medalist. As a team, we played well under bad conditions. However, we got the win. Shot 349 on the second day, so our scores are coming down. We still have work to do though", said Coach Ballou.
The Lady Bearcats will play Kentucky Wesleyan College at the Pearl Club on April 7th. Start time for the match play is scheduled for noon.
