Bearcats Secure Double Header Wins

The Lady Bearcats hosted University of the Cumberlands March 2nd. They won both games. Shelby Franklin got the win in the 1st game pitching 7 innings. She only gave up 7 hits, struck out 5 and walked 1. Cat Dunn led the offensive end going 3 for 3 with Rachel Tanner close behind going 2 for 3. The score was 2-1.

In the second game, the Bearcats won 9-6. Morgan Manning went 2 for 3 while scoring twice with Catherine Dunn going 2 for 3. Freshman Alison Russell took the mound in the 2nd game. She pitched the complete game giving up 8 hits, struck out 2, and walked 4.

The Lady Bearcats are now 3-9. They are off next week for Spring Break. Once they return they will hit the road on March 14th for 2 games against Oakland City University
