Bearcats Race at RSC Preview
The Brescia men's cross country team competed at the IU East Run With the Wolves Invitational on September 19th -- a race that also served as the RSC preview.
The competition was split into two heats, which resulted in small race sizes for both heats. The Bearcats competed in the White race, finishing second.
"The men's team competed well on a difficult course. There were only 40 men in the race, which can make it more difficult to make in-race adjustments," said Head Coach Luke Stoffel.
"It was good for us to see the conference championship course. We have a young team and will continue to improve throughout the season," said Stoffel.
Christian Leach (FR, Monroe, Ohio) led the Bearcats with a fourth place finish, completing the 8k in 29:22. Benjamin Brown (SO, Memphis, Mich.) was the next Brescia athlete through the line, placing sixth with a time of 30:28.
Jeremy White-Zavala (FR, Beaver Dam, Ky.) crossed the line next, running a 30:50 and placing eighth.
Wesley Abney (FR, Russellville, Ky.) and Tyler Walz (SO, Hawesville, Ky.) rounded out the top five for Brescia, running 32:16 and 33:28, respectively.

Brescia will be back in action at the Rio Grande Classic in Rio Grande, Ohio on September 26th at 1:05 p.m.
