Men's Volleyball Falls to (RV) Reinhadt in Three Sets

OWENSBORO, KY – The Brescia University men's volleyball team fell in three sets to (RV) Reinhardt. The Bearcats extend their record to 1-5 overall.

The Eagles would hop out to an early 10-2 lead to start off the first set. The Bearcats struggled to put consistent points together as they dropped set one, 25-14. BU would make set two more competitive as they go point-for-point with the ranked Eagles. The Eagles would stretch their lead out to four until a kill by Owen Collitt would break the silence for the Bearcats. The BU defense struggled to keep the ball off the court as the Eagles' offense continued to excel. Attack errors riddled the Bearcat offense as they couldn't recover, dropping set two 25-15. The attack errors continued for the Bearcats as they couldn't finish the job as the Eagles take set three, 25-13.

Meric Akovali led the team with just seven kills on 20 chances, while Finn Berger assisted 15 times.

The Bearcats will head to Marietta, GA to compete in the Life University Tri-Match taking on St. Andrews in game one with a tip-off time of 2pm CT.
