Bearcats Compete at Hanover Invitational
The Bearcats traveled to Hanover, Indiana to compete in the Hanover Invitational. The Bearcats stacked up nicely against the large turnout. Out of the 16 teams that scored, the Bearcats finished in a tie for 13th place. Only five Bearcats scored out of the eight that competed. Kyle Robinson placed 7th with a time of 35:24 in the 10,000-meter race. Landon Holt placed 4th with a time of 50.82 in the 400-meter dash. The Bearcats 4x100-meter relay team placed 7th with a time of 46.13; the team consisted of Jaleel Parris, Tyrell Jacobs, Landon Holt, and Brandon Stacker. Despite not scoring points, Zac Johnson's debut in the throwing events was a success. He threw the discus 27.40 meters and finished in 38th place.
"Prior to March of this year Johnson had never touched a throwing implement. He went out and competed against guys who have been likely throwing since middle school, and beat some of them. Overall, I am happy with how we competed; we are still have work to do before the conference meet four weekends away", said Coach Stoffel.
The Bearcats head to Greencastle, Indiana on April 8th to compete in the DePauw Outdoor Invitational. Start time for the invitational is scheduled for noon.
