Bearcats Finish Indoor Season at Anderson University
The Bearcats traveled to Anderson, Indiana to compete in the Fred Wilt Memorial Invitational. The meet was an unscored contest.
The day started rocky with the men's 4x200 meter relay. The baton made it around the track 3 out of the 4 legs, but a bad exchanged caused a dropped baton and a disqualification for the Bearcats. Tyrell Jacobs made the finals in the long jump and finished 7th with a jump of 19' 11.75". Landon Holt had an 8th place finish in the open 200-meter dash in a time of 23.36.
"I was happy with how the indoor season finished. The 4x200 meter team was off to a great start in the race and would have finish well if not for the dropped baton. That just tells me that we still have work to do. With four full weeks off before our first outdoor meet, we will have the time to make the adjustments needed," said Coach Stoffel.
The Bearcats open their outdoor season at Transylvania University on March 25th.
