Men's and Women's Tennis Drops Road Match

Bearcats making strides in the loss.

The Brescia University men's and women's tennis teams dropped a River State Conference road match at Midway University on Friday afternoon at the Lexington Tennis Club.

Brescia men drop to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play, while Midway moves to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference action. Joao Pontes and Juan Tavera picked up their first doubles win 7-6(7-3) and Daniel Paez picked up the lone singles win in 3 sets 4-6, 6-1, 10-6.

Brescia women fall to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in River State Conference play, while 2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference action. Hannah Joy Simms picked up the only win for the Lady Bearcats in straight sets 6-1, 6-2.

The Bearcats will play Indiana Kokomo- Women and IU Southeast on Saturday. First-serve is scheduled for 1 pm.
