Bearcats fall to #11 Campbellsville University
The men's tennis team played their season opener at Campbellsville University over the weekend.
In doubles play, Brescia's pairs were Hector Horcajada/Jose Alcazar and Turilo Duck/Fernando Garcia. Despite playing well both pairs came up short against the strong duos from Campbellsville. Singles play was not any different for the Bearcats, who come up short in four matchups and had to forfeit two. The Bearcats also had to forfeit one match in doubles.
"We competed against a tough opponent. The guys fought hard against #11 team in NAIA. We need to play these matches to become mentally and physically tougher in order to get ready for the conference," said Coach Chernova.
Brescia starts out the season 0-1, looking to improve from this match as they take on two, March 19th (University of Pikeville and Berea College).
