Men's Soccer Stands Up Shawnee State for Tie
PORTSMOUTH, Oh. – The Brescia University men’s soccer team earned their second tie in conference play this past weekend against Shawnee State. The 1-1 tie extended the Bearcats record to 3-8-4 overall and 2-3-2 in RSC play.

PORTSMOUTH, Oh. – The Brescia University men's soccer team earned their second tie in conference play this past weekend against Shawnee State. The 1-1 tie extended the Bearcats record to 3-8-4 overall and 2-3-2 in RSC play.
Ezekiel Isom put the Bearcats on the board first as he buried an unassisted goal at the 10-minute mark. The defense was stellar for BU as they contained the Bear's attackers. SSU knotted the score in the 60th minute to force a tie. Shawnee State ramped up their offense in the second half as they outshot BU 9-2 with 10 corner opportunities. Nonetheless, the Bearcats inherited the tie to earn points in RSC play.
The Bearcats will host Oakland City this coming Thursday, Oct. 23, at 6:30pm.
