Men's Soccer Ends Season with Loss to Shawnee State
PORTSMOUTH, OH – The Brescia University men’s soccer team played their last game this past Saturday as they picked up a loss, 3-0, against Shawnee State. With their record showing no sign of making the post-season, the Bearcat end the 2023 season with an overall record of 2-14-1 and 2-7-1 in RSC play.

PORTSMOUTH, OH – The Brescia University men's soccer team played their last game this past Saturday as they picked up a loss, 3-0, against Shawnee State. With their record showing no sign of making the post-season, the Bearcat end the 2023 season with an overall record of 2-14-1 and 2-7-1 in RSC play.
In the last contest of the season for the Bearcats, the boys kept Shawnee's offense at bay during the whole first half. Despite not scoring themselves, the Bearcats looked to net their first goal of the match coming out of the half. Unfortunately, the Bears would break the tie with their first goal in the 46th minute. SSU's next goal would come in the 60th minute as they take a two-goal advantage. The Bearcats struggled to keep possession of the ball as Shawnee would score their third and final goal of the match in the 83rd minute ending the season for the Bearcats.
Chase Garrett had three saves on six shots for his final game between the posts.
