OWENSBORO, KY – The Brescia University men's soccer team struggles against #6 Rio Grande as they fall 3-0. The boys extend their record to 1-11 on the year and 1-4 in RSC play.
The young Bearcat team was able to stand up the nationally ranked opponent the entire first half as both teams remained scoreless in the first 45 minutes. The Redstorm would score their first goal in the 61st minute to break open the scoreless game. The Bearcats continued to push the Redstorm team to make decisions that resulted in holes being left in the Bearcat defense. Rio would score two more goals in the 83rd and 86th minute to take the match 3-0.
Finn Martin records seven saves in the loss to extend his record to 1-5 on the year.
The Bearcats take on Midway next Thursday with a kickoff time of 3pm CT.
