PULASKI, TN – The Brescia University men's soccer team falls on the road to UT Southern, 8-0. The Bearcats extend their record to 0-5 on the season with conference play starting later this week.
Although both teams evenly matched, the Firehawks would get their first shot saved by goalie Chase Garrett seven minutes into the game. In the 25th minute, UT Southern would net their first goal of the match. Despite trying to find an equalizer, the Bearcats would concede a second goal in the 36th minute of play. BU struggled to find ground in the second half as the next six goals would come in the second period by the Firehawks.
The Bearcats were outshot 31-6 as goalies Finn Martin and Chase Garrett each combine for 10 saves.
The Bearcats will travel to Point Park University to start conference play with a kickoff time of 6:30 pm CT.
