Bearcats Take Home Honors At RSC Championship

Bearcats Ryan Howard and Parker Brown led the Mens Golf Team to a humbling 6th place finish at the Conference Championship this week at the tricky Belterra Golf Course in Florence IN. Ryan Howard earned first team Conference honors with a 10th place finish at the Championship. Senior Parker Brown wrapped up his college career with second team honors finishing 14th overall.

Parker Brown will be missed for not only his play on the course but his approach and attitude on the course. Coach Cox is quoted, "Parker is the type of player that you will try and find another and it is not possible". He has a passion for the game but understands that it doesn't have to dominate your life where you feel like you are living and dying by each shot. That self-trust and mindset have served him well the last four years and I am honored to have gotten to coach not just him for the last 3.5 years but also his older brother. His teammates will miss his demeanor and approach to the game for sure. Thank you to the Brown family for making Brescia University your home the last 6 years."

The RSC Men's Golf First & Second Teams were comprised on five players on each list. Scores from the three rounds this week and the two rounds from the RSC Fall Preview were taken into account.

Also named was the RSC Men's Golf Champions of Character Team. Nominated by their head coach, one member of each team was recognized for best displaying the NAIA's five core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship.
