Parker Brown finishes 3rd at RSC Preview Championship

Parker Brown continues his stellar play with a 3rd place finish this week at the RSC Preview Championship held at Belterra Golf Club in Florence IN. His 75/69 +2 finish set the tone for the Bearcats as they finished 5th overall, three places better than last fall's performance. Tough conditions and weather made for a rocky first day for the Bearcats as Aidan Cassidy and Parker Brown(75/69)both shot 75 in two completely different ways as Cassidy had only 25 putts in the first round. His 75/85 placed him in a tie for 34th overall with fellow teammate Trae Barber with an 81/79.

Coach Cox is quoted saying" We learned alot in the last week or two, however we have a long way to go. With Ryan Howard 81/77 not playing up to his expectations we will make some adjustments in his game and get him back on track." Weston Wood bounced back like one would hope a freshman can do by shooting 80/72. Aidan, Weston and Trae are just getting more and more experience, this will help as they progress along.With tough conditions the team has to adjust better moving forward and playing to their strengths more. The talent is there and they will learn from this event and get better from it as they become a little more consistent. The Bearcat Men have a few days off from tournaments and will use this time to get things together for the next one at Campbellsville in a few weeks.
