River States Conference Releases 2025 Men's Soccer Preseason Poll

OXFORD, Oh. – The River States Conference has released the Men's Soccer Preseason Poll for the 2025 season.

The Brescia University Men's Soccer team were chosen to finish 8^th out of the 10-team conference rankings this afternoon posted by the conference office. The Bearcats finish above the two recent additions to the conference in IU Columbus and Kentucky Christian. Last season, BU ended with a 2-12-4 overall record and 1-5-2 conference record. With a new coaching staff at the helm, the Bearcats will look to move up in the rankings this season.

As the Bearcats have the last two seasons, they will begin their season in Dalton, GA on August 21st for the Dalton State Classic. They will face the Roadrunners of Dalton State and the Grizzlies of Georgia Gwinnett, both power houses in their respective sport. BU has not faired well against the two teams as they have gone a combined 0-4 in their meetings the last two seasons. The Bearcats then return home for their home opener against Mid-South Conference affiliate, Freed-Hardeman, on August 27^th. The Firehawks from UT Southern also make the trip to town on August 31^st to take on the Bearcats for a Sunday matinee. BU will play UHSP, Harris-Stowe, Kentucky Wesleyan, and Mount Vernon Nazarene before starting RSC play at Kentucky Christian on September 18^th. Brescia will continue through conference play for the remainder of the season until they host their regular season finale at home against St. Mary-of-the-Woods on October 30^th.
