River States Conference Releases 2025 Women's Volleyball Preseason Poll

OXFORD, Oh. - The River States Conference released this season's Women's Volleyball Preseason Poll. The Lady Bearcats have set their schedule for the 2025 season as they look to jump up in the rankings.

The Brescia University Women's Volleyball team were chosen to finish 11th out of the 12 team-conference rankings today posted by the conference office. The Lady Bearcats finish above the newly accepted institution, Kentucky Christian, as the Knights take the final spot in the rankings. The young Bearcats team finished with an overall record of 7-26 and a 3-13 record in RSC play last season. 

As they have the last two seasons, the Lady Bearcats will start the season with a scrimmage against Vincennes University at home on August 19th. From there, BU will travel north to the Onset Invitational hosted by Saint Francis (IN) in Fort Wayne, IN for a two-day trip. They will revisit two teams in the Onset Invitational from last season in Northwestern Ohio and Defiance College where the Bearcats dropped both matches at the Racer Yellow Jacket Classic. Before the Brescia Classic, the four-team tournament hosted by the Bearcats this season, BU will head down the street to face Kentucky Wesleyan College for their second scrimmage of the year. In the Brescia Classic, the Bearcats will face off against Webber International from Miami, FL, Oakland City, and Bethel (TN) on the last weekend of August (Aug. 29-30). BU will compete with three more non-conference teams in Union Commonwealth, UHSP, and Fisk (TN) before starting conference play on September 11, at home, against St. Mary-of-the-Woods. Brescia will continue conference play the rest of the season and will host Oakland City in the regular season finale on November 5.
