Men's Volleyball Inks Three Recruits

OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Brescia University men’s volleyball program signs their first recruits of the year. The men’s volleyball program is a newly implemented program for BU athletics.

Connor Lilly, a 6’5 outside hitter, hails from Wilmore, KY where he is a West Jessamine High School product. When joining the volleyball team his sophomore season, Connor was a varsity starter and helped lead his team to a KVCA State Tournament title. His junior year, he obtained the single-game record for hitting percentage (.888) in West Jessamine school history.

Finn Berger, a 6’2 setter, hails from Aachen, Germany where he attends Goethe-Gymnasium Stolberg. While with his school, he helped lead his team to State Vice Championships the last three years and National Championships the last two years. Finn intends to study Computer Science when he arrives at Brescia.

Lastly, Stephen Schmidt, a 5’4 libero, comes from Monroe, LA where he is homeschooled and a part of the Christian Homeschool Association volleyball team. Stephen has helped lead his team to Nationals and State Championships twice. He was also chosen as Varsity team MVP and First Team All-state the last two years.
